Cary Millsap is a Distinguished Product Manager at Oracle Corporation. He is widely known in the Oracle community as a speaker, educator, consultant, and writer. He is the author of How to Make Things Faster, of Optimizing Oracle Performance (with Jeff Holt), and he is a contributor to Oracle Insights: Tales of the Oak Table. Cary is the former President and founder of Method R Corporation, the former Vice President of Oracle's System Performance Group, and a co-founder of Hotsos. Cary is also a founding member of the Oak Table Network (http://www.oaktable.net), an informal association of "Oracle Scientists" well known throughout the Oracle community.
