Bio

I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where I got my bachelor's degree in economics with a minor in mathematics at Louisiana State University. I focused heavily on econometrics during my time there, learning how to build and evaluate econometric models in R and Python. I then moved onto the University of Texas at Austin where I got my master's degree in analytics, which was a joint effort between the statistics department and the McCombs school of business. I continued working with R and Python during my time there and learned about advanced statistics and machine learning.

While I was in graduate school I discovered Neo4j and used it for most of my projects. Eventually I moved to the Bay Area to work as a data scientist for Neo4j, where I currently build predictive models and help teams better understand their data. I also travel the globe speaking at conferences, where I mostly share my experiences with Neo4j-related projects.

In my free time I maintain a handful of open source projects, which you can browse on my GitHub profile.
