Bio

This book takes you step by step through the early stages of making and connecting your own Things to the Internet. Once confident with these tools and techniques, the size of projects are only limited by your imagination. These are not only tools for prototypes – they can be used in real industrial applications – with no “relearning” or adapting required. Not only are these techniques and tools ideal for making hobby projects and prototypes, but they can and are also used in industry. For example, a theme park in the UK uses them to control their interactive animatronic dinosaurs – the only difference between the controls for the prototype of a one-foot-tall scaled dino and the life-sized TRex is the addition of a waterproof box and a larger power supply. Each section includes projects to complete that allow you to gain experience and confidence with every step, along with real world examples of how they have been used.
