Kara Woo

Bio

Kara Woo is a graduate student at the University of Washington Information School where she focuses on data management and visualization. She is an advocate of open science, reproducible research, and diversity and social justice in STEM fields. Kara has experience teaching programming and skills for working with data through Software Carpentry and Data Carpentry, and she helps run the accidental aRt blog, which features data visualizations gone beautifully wrong. Kara has a BS in environmental science from Brown University and is working on a master’s in library and information science.
