Bio

I am a graduate student at the University of Washington, studying machine learning, probabilistic modelling, and computational biology. I love talking about the best way to fully model problem, and believe that probabilistic modelling can capture details in the data in ways that that classical machine learning oftentimes cannot. I am also the core developer of pomegranate, which is a python package with a speedy cython backend which implements many probabilistic models, such as hidden Markov models, mixture mdoels, and Bayesian networks.
