David certified as CCIE #11023 in January 2003. He has taught networking classes for over 15 years. David started teaching Cisco voice technologies in the days of Cisco Call Manger 3.0 (circa 2001). He has taught rapidly changing, disruptive, emerging technologies such as VoIP in the past and more recently technologies such as OpenFlow and Software-Defined Networks (SDN). David has a broad range of development skills including software development and software project management spanning web and traditional desktop projects. He has also written and developed content for instructor led training (ILT) courses, self-study courses, self-study labs and exam content (exam questions). He has recorded many technical videos on a wide array of networking topics. He has been developing and managing development projects for many years and taught Microsoft Developer courses before he started teaching Cisco networking. David currently spends most of his time developing training materials and products relating to SDN and other emerging technologies as well as managing a team of software developers. David's software tools and training have been downloaded +100,000 times. Many thousands of engineers like you use his tools and training on a regular basis. David has developed over 20 courses for HPE which are used worldwide. These include multiple SDN courses and HP ASE certification courses (4 day Instructor led training). David's YouTube videos have been viewed +1 million times. He has also personally developed Cisco engineer utilities such as the VPN Config Generator, software, training materials, EBooks, videos and other products which are used throughout the world.
