Bio

Ran Aroussi is an autodidact computer programmer turned algorithmic trader. He first started programming after getting an IBM PC as a Bar-Mitzvah present. In 1995 he founded a web development firm, which, as the online landscape evolved, transformed into a technology and marketing company. Throughout his career, Ran had the pleasure of working with some of the world’s smartest people to build successful companies in the online space.

After working in the AdTech industry and developing models for both the Buy and Sell sides of online media Exchanges, Ran turned to “real” trading in 2013 and hasn’t looked back since. Given his background, his approach to trading is systematic, and his strategies are rule-based and fully automated. To this day, Ran considers himself as much a technologist as a trader, and he uses a common-sense approach to develop Algorithmic trading strategies that trade liquid markets, including Equities, ETFs, Futures, Forex, and Cryptocurrencies.

As an avid open-source supporter and contributor, Ran released several popular open-source financial libraries for Python developers and algorithmic traders, which are available via his Github page.
